Review of Standard Operating Procedure (2013) by Russell G — 26 Jul 2009
Another amazing Doc by Morris. Everyone knows what went down at Abu Ghraib prison, and many of us have the pictures that where taken there etched into our brains. Where this film succeeds is hearing the story, first hand, from the participants.
Morris continues to offer no judgment (something Michael Moore and Morgan Spurlock could learn...), but instead allows the viewer to watch, learn and come to their own conclusions. It's powerful, fascinating stuff.
