Billy wilder does it again. w/ light humor mixed dramatic sequences, this movie brings the tales of prisoners of war to a different level. william holden is fantastic. william holden definitely deserved that oscar he won.
it is not like the great escape, but it is within the same category of war movies. stalag 17 is a must see movie.
