Revisited this after watching the latest version (2017's Homecoming with Tom Holland). Spider-man 2 from 2004 is still the definitive Spiderman movie, packed with emotional roller coaster ride as Peter Parker struggles with what it's like being a penniless student who also happens to be a super hero, while being the same person at the core struggling with guilt, love and friendship.
And Alfred Molina's portrayal of Doctor Octavius is perfect.
