Review of Spartacus (1960) by Jason V — 30 Apr 2011
Lots of meandering storylines, including romance, friendships and politics, are given rather short thrift as the slave revolt tries to gather steam. The balance isn't there in the script to satisfy anyone, Perhaps the only way to do this story right is with two separate movies? Otherwise, too clean and sanitized.
..but par for the era.
