Review of Soldier's Girl (2003) by Rodney W — 12 Nov 2012
Lee Pace is stellar in this frustratingly tragic account of prejudice and the casualties of our homophobic (but more specifically heterophobic (fear of difference)) culture. Painfully well-acted where it counts, Pace and Garity compensating for the film's low-budget production with heartbreaking emotional authenticity.
A film that is no less necessary after the cessation of Don't Ask, Don't Tell.
