A huge let down when compared to the game series. Just like Resident Evil, someone came up and said: "Hey, this is actually a very good plot. Yeah, let's not go with that." So, what you're left with is: Silent Hill looks, lame plot.

I actually wonder how Christophe Gans managed to send all the amazingly gripping plot from the original SH games to hell and deliver this. As a fan, I was nothing more than disappointed. What was supposed to be a great, psychological flick with all sorts of emotional dilemmas within, which is what the games are about, before they fucked them up too, ended up being another boring, predictable, "burn the witch" kind of crap we see nowadays. HUGE let down. And no Harry Mason, either.

But, to whoever watches it and has no idea what Silent Hill is all about, the movie is somewhat entertaining, with an old mushy storyline that neither surprises nor astonishes anyone. You won't waste your time watching this, but it's not a must watch.
