Review of Silent Hill (2006) by Thurston S — 16 Dec 2017

Though decidedly different when compared to its video game brethren, it is at the very least an interesting movie, if consistently muddied by a rather uniformly poor script and a few B-rate co-stars. Aesthetically, the movie is quite beautiful, and the transitions between normality and Otherworld are amazing to behold.

While it fails to truly scare and does run a bit on the long side, the thrills and (blood)spills that do get tossed in every now and then in addition to the Carrie-worthy ending made it worth the while, if not much more than that.
