Review of Shooter (2009) by Kyler D — 29 May 2011
Good: Action is intense, plot twists and turns.
Bad: No emotions in the movie, gets boring in the middle, but picks up later.
"We've given Swagger a new war, he's found a new spotter".
Bob Lee Swagger(Mark Wahlberg) is an ex-marine sniper. Three years after leaving the military he is approached by government officials to help in a case and is double-crossed by them. Bob is relentlessly hunted through the movie. The plot of the movie is well thought out with many twists and turns in the conspiracy. The character Nick Memphis(Michael Pena) adds a whole other side to the plot, and gave the writers some leg room to take the story in a different direction. The action scenes are intense. The movie holds no emotional valuem the only emotions you really see are in Sarah Fenn(Kate Mara).
