Review of Shinjuku Incident (2009) by Harry L — 08 Sep 2010
Wow, this is an interesting turn for Mr. Chan. I am used to seeing him in some sort of comedy Kung Fu film. Here he becomes an unwilling crime boss, who takes over a local gang to keep the really bad guys out of his neighborhood. Only to see the people who joined him become really bad guys.
It is a dark movie, and at times I found it a bit slow. Yet it remained interesting if not terribly exciting. Definitly one I can recommend even if it is a slight recommendation. just to see a stretch from Jackie Chan.
