Review of Shame (1968) by Jonathan M — 19 May 2008
Definitely not the best Bergman movie. The military appears as a plot device too often and the portrayal of war is sacrificed at times to an over-done symbolism (the glass house that survives the bombing).
However, it is well acted and at times, particularly the ending, quite beautiful.
