Review of Shame (1968) by Michael M — 12 Sep 2008
This is probably the Bergman film I've responded to the most. The story of a relationship surrounded by a war must have seemed very topical at the time of its release. To me it's the relationship at the heart of the film which enables everything else to be taken for granted.
A very sad film.
