Review of Shame (1968) by Adam Z — 14 Jan 2008
This has got to be Bergman's most overlooked masterpiece; deserves a Criterion DVD release that needs interviews with both Max von Sydow and Liv Ullman (wonderful in this film, as they are in every Bergman film).
Also, perhaps the first Bergman movie with machine gun violence and Liv Ullman's breasts. Go figure.
