Review of Shadow of the Vampire (2000) by Brett B — 29 Aug 2011
The originality of the central premise and Dafoe's amazing performance are enough to win this one a bit of a pass for me. Having said that, the film devolves into complete weirdness by the end, shattering even reasonable suspension of disbelief.
It could have been great, but it comes up short.
