Review of Seven Swords (2005) by Jinsong G — 05 Oct 2005
Tsui Hark's Kung Fu epic fantasy, the story is similar to Seven Samurai and it's several copycats, but it is in fact a book adaptation (perhaps the story that inspired Seven Samurai to begin with?).
Very long in it's 150 minutes, it's entertaining although some aspects could've been axed to let the movie flow better, it feels rushed and the many subplots lacked the proper development lessening the emotional impact of battles.
