Review of Seven Swords (2005) by Melissa D — 17 Jul 2009
This film has so many weak points (it's too long and contains too many characters, and elements of human drama is weak, etc), yet it has so much enthusiasm and power that it is worth to watch till it's over.
Comparing to Hero and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, this is much more comicbook or graphic novel like. As a big budget entertainment film, it does its expected job well. Above all critisism, it's good to see Tsui Hark comes back again to the front line in his home-ground after his failure in Hollywood.
