Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Alex A — 15 Jul 2013
It may be a bit bloated, but Seven Samurai is still an exhilarating Samurai epic from master filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. It's beautifully shot, terrifically written and superbly acted. There are a few problems with the pacing which makes the runtime slightly monotonous, but its strength's greatly overpower its weakness's and it places Kurosawa as one of Japan's most ambitious and creative filmmakers.
