Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Eduardo A — 15 Aug 2014
The most beautiful movie about the samurai I've ever seen. A script and a great director, amazing actors and a soundtrack impeccable.
Epic, romantic, poetic and colossal, a film that has the ability to engage the audience thanks, not only to the perfect characterization, but also the historical setting well taken care of (and realistic rendering) and to bring to the screen the figure samurai, as a figure who, despite his skills and his strength is not honor, glory, peace and happiness, forced to wander into town to town, to an uncertain fate. This is pure cinema, this is pure art !!!
