Underratted thriller. In the near future Russia is in the grip of a devasting fuel crisis and on the brink of revolution. A man named Tretiak is poised to seize power. To do so he hires a man who's past is a mystery, Simon Templar aka The Saint to steal the secret of Cold Fusion from Dr. Emma Russell. But the Saint doesn't plan on falling for the good doctor and soon they find themselves alone in Moscow hunted by forces loyal to Tretiak but The Saint is far from helpless...

Not given the credit it deserved at the time of its realese The Saint is great escapist entertainment eluvaited by Val Kilmer's performance as The Saint and the great Elisabeth Shue as Emma, connvaining the naiveity, innocence and idealism that wins over the master thief flawlessly, well Rade Serbedzija plays the villian Tretiak well. By turns exciting, romantic, and funny The Saint has all the ingrideints needed to pass away a rainy afternoon. Check it out.
