Shue, for all her loveliness and skill, has to act like her character is fooled by Kilmer's awful accents and bad disguises, which just makes the whole mess awkward and unbelievable. The plot is thin, slow, and fails to draw one in.
To make matters worse, it doesn't hold up well over time. Hopefully, someone will rediscover this gem of a franchise and reignite it with the attention is deserves.
