Review of Russian Ark (2002) by Holland K — 04 Oct 2010
I swear this movie is more like a dream then ANY movie I have ever seen.. as in a dream you are forced to experience whatever your mind has in store for you.. A 94 minute movie all in one continuous shot loosely telling the history of Russia.
The director plays with time and space on film like I've never seen before.. If you can get past the subtitles, any person that is a film aficionado must absolutely watch this movie. I would love to see an American filmmaker attempt such a thing with the grand scale of this film.
I highly recommend this film..
