Zoe Kazan is sucha s shinign personality and so see her play a role for herself cannot go wrong. As her counterpart, we see Paul Dano, her real-life partner. Dano plays a young novelist, who published a successful work as a teenager but is now suffering from a writer's block.

He creates a characters named Ruvy (Kazan) who inspires him both profesionally and personally. However, as the relationship goes one, Calvin notices the incompatibilites between the two of them and the temptation to change Ruby according to his wishes by writing some lines arises.

Here, the very light and entertaining movie picks up a problem most couples encounter in relationships: the wish to change one's partner. As this film shows, this probably won't end well and definetely not as planned.

And I guess that can be considered the messege of the will. It's an indie so don't expect to be bombarded with jokes. Contrary to it's trailer, this film is not fastpaced and switches between funny and sad moments - and so does life.
