Zoe Kazan is wonderful as Ruby, really energetic and full of the life Paul Dano's character gave her. The story is beautiful, especially the first half during Ruby's discovery. It gets complicated after that, and messy, and the movie emulates, though ending in a safe, but very satisfying way.
