ByBy the end of RUBBER I was hoping that director Quentin Dupieux lived close enough for me to drive to his home and punch in the mouth. I'm fine with "silly" or "completely insane/nonsensical" movies.
..but this one took a fresh idea that could have worked (quite well actually) as a killer 20 minute short, and literally stuffed 63 minutes of shameless pandering to it's own idiocy as filler. If I had been playing a drinking game where I took a shot every time this "movie" cut to an unnecessary audience within the movie.
..at least I'd be drunk by the end. Some cool shots of a tire doesn't make up for crapping all over your actual audience throughout the entire film. Hate is not a strong enough word.
