Review of Rubber (2010) by Jesse B — 24 Jul 2011
So this is a silly, meaningless ride. I can see this as a movie you either love or hate. While seemingly "having no reason" I couldn't help myself from trying to look deeply into what appears to be random.
Parts of the movie came across flat, but I was always curious what would happen next until next thing I knew...the movie was over. Honestly I liked it. It was refreshing and I had a smile plastered on my face by the end of it.
his is definitely one of those eclectic "out there" movie concepts in which toking beforehand may enhance the viewing. Kudos to Quentin Dupieux for having the balls to carry out this movie.
