Review of Rubber (2010) by Ryan O — 07 Aug 2012
Rubber.
I discovered Rubber via a YouTube video, and I initially thought it was joke. But I was wrong. Rubber is perhaps one of the most bizarre movies Iâ(TM)ve ever seen. Itâ(TM)s the tale of a tire, which comes to life and proceeds to roll through a desert landscape, killing anything that gets in its way.
Rubber wasnâ(TM)t necessarily a waste of time. It was entertaining enough and perfect for those late-night B movies. With a run time of 1 hour and 15 minutes, it moves along pretty quickly once you figure out, as a viewer, that youâ(TM)re truly watching the story of a tire on a terror. Iâ(TM)m not going to say this is a masterpiece by any stretch, but it will certainly generate a fairly lengthy conversation with your friends if you watch it in a group. I say, take a risk, check it out. I liked it.
