What a surprise! This was not the movie I was expecting. The first half was how the mother and son maintain themselves under the circumstances of being confined in a small room for 7 years (think prison cell or POW.
) The second half was how they maintain themselves in the outside world, which present no less trying circumstances. This underlying theme reminded me of "Shawshank Redemption" and the prisoner Red.
