Review of Rise: Blood Hunter (2007) by Brian P — 24 Jul 2007

Okay first off the poster lies. You will never see bat like vampires in the movie. What that scence holds instead is hanging nude bodies. This movie is full of random nudity, intense violence and psychologically disturbing imagry.

The most I will say for it is it is one of the few vampire movies I have seen that didn't glorify vampirsm. It made it ugly ugly ugly and caught the horror of the condition really well. However what could have been an interesting look at te genre got lost in the total lack of coherent plot, likeable characters, decent scriptwriting and dialogue.

There was just nothing likeable. This movie made my soul hurt. It's sad actually it could have been so much more.
