Review of Repulsion (1965) by Mathieu C — 27 Aug 2007
This film is really something special. It is about the dangers of pure virginal purity. Cathrine Deneuve plays a woman who is left alone for a week while her sister goes on vacation, during this time her mind gets warped and twisted by itself.
Polanski revels in every slight detail, even the way she brushes her hair becomes important to the film. In all an absolutly great film.
