Review of Repulsion (1965) by Carlos M — 28 Mar 2018

I must be watching a different movie. I literally could not wrap my head around the critics' and the audiences' rating being that high. One of the most boring movies I've ever watched, and Carol is just a dull character.

First off, she had like... what, five lines and one facial expression in the entire movie? Not to mention, the acting was weak and the movie just drags on and on and on... but still I kept on watching even though it was putting me to sleep because I expected this to be quite the slow-burner after making the viewer put up with that, there must be some kind of cathartic final act, right? Wrong.

In the end, I just gave up and skimmed through the last 15 minutes of the movie because it was just dreadful.
