Review of Reprise (2006) by Irvin C — 24 Jan 2009
Two young writers who are also best friends go through the usual ups and downs in their struggle into adulthood. Though far from perfect, this is quite a remarkable little film, very French New Wave-esque yet at the same time very hip, very real without being overly cynical or overly idealistic like what films of these sorts tend to be.
Despite it being Norwegian, I found myself really relating to these characters since I've hung out with writers (and am myself a writer).
