Review of Rendition (2007) by Prathaban M — 23 Nov 2008
A very thought-provoking movie, disturbing in many ways. I thought the acting was uneven. Reese Witherspoon was very good, as was Omar Metwally. However, Jake Gyllenhaal seemed very wooden to me, and I wasn't impressed by Meryl Streep, either.
Some of the supporting roles were done well, though. The special features documentary, however, was very hard-hitting, as it shows how several very real people were affected by the policy of extraordinary rendition.
