Review of Rendition (2007) by Alex K — 31 Jul 2013
A good if not great political thriller, but more importantly a film with a heart and soul which is not afraid to point it's grubbied finger directly at the viewer. Rendition is also a film which made me feel unbearably sad at its conclusion, because it shows an international, politically supported society in which morally reprehensible behaviour is condoned.
Rendition really makes you think about the consequenses of scapegoating and blame, and question why they are so often favoured over the much more difficult search for real solutions.
