Review of Renaissance (2006) by Craig W — 31 Aug 2008
An interesting film noir style sci-fi. It tries to take Blade Runner and portray it in a Sin City type manner with a hit and miss result. Making an artistic style film in high-contrast black and white inherently makes it flawed in that it limits the amount of detail it can present.
The film itself wasn't bad, but most of the "surprises" you could see coming and the ones you didn't weren't developed well enough to make you care.
