Review of Renaissance (2006) by Joan P R — 07 Oct 2015

Renaissance has a unique visual style that is more than gimmick. I give it high marks for doing something different and doing it well. Beyond that, solid voice acting from the male lead and solid animation carry the film.

The plot is so-so and most of the characters are weak. Renaissance is not very dark or thrilling, but it is noir and it is definitely French. The trailer does not give much away; if you give that a look and like what you see then Renaissance is probably worth the view.
