Review of Remember (2015) by Chris F — 25 Apr 2016
Remember is an exciting and tense thriller from Atom Egoyan. This is definitely one of his best films in years. Christopher Plummer gives a great performance as an Auschwitz survivor looking for the man who killed his family.
He definitely conveys his character's dementia very well. The supporting performances were fine, but were never as good as Plummer's. The plot is very entertaining. There are some convenient things that happen, but the film is still engaging.
Please don't read any spoilers before seeing this film! There is a big twist at the end that I think would divide people. I personally enjoyed this twist a lot. Overall, this is a tense and satisfying thriller with a great lead performance.
