Review of Red Velvet (2009) by Josh W — 27 Sep 2009
This was an interesting take on the slasher genre, book-ended with the story of a edgy looking guy chatting up a girl at a laundromat. While his slightly creepy mannerisms and manipulations made me wonder why the girl stayed around to hear his story, it was a fun take on the material.
The day-glo use of color and splatter really spices things up visually, and while I wasn't ever exactly rooting for any of the characters, I wasn't bored either.
Give it a rental/.
