Review of Rashomon (1950) by Jason W — 25 Dec 2009
Generally movies that are this famous are overrated. Generally movies this old have lost touch with current generations or the shifts of culture (especially true, considering this is a Japanese film). Somehow, Kurosawa's masterpiece (one should say, one of many masterpieces) avoids all these pitfalls and is one of the most spectacular, philosophical movies ever made.
