Again, the back story of the movie's (Catherine de' Medici and St. Bartholomew's Day) more interesting than the movie. I did have to read the back story in wikipedia to understand what was going on in the first few minutes of the film.
Nevertheless, the leads were brilliant. Good combination of Machiavellian plots, massacre, politics, and blood ties. Given the chance, I'd turn lesbian to have a go with Isabelle Anjani at that age.
