Review of Quatermass and the Pit (1967) by Loren T — 16 Jul 2014
The film looks like one of Hammer's classier efforts and the horror is downplayed in favour of 'Doctor Who'-like sci-fi. It's got a good reputation but I didn't enjoy it as much as some of the simpler horror vehicles from the studio and missed the presence of Cushing and Lee.
Not my favourite Hammer then but a good effort.
