Review of Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous (2008) by Tina M — 08 Sep 2009
The nicest thing I could say about Jessica Simpson (with her strange body movements (she extends her neck strangely and holds it out oddly), her odd timing, and apparently "fake" dumb blonde act) is that I dislike her less than Paris Hilton.
That said, I can't say I hated this movie! Pleasantly surprised, but the real movie is the original: "Private Benjamin" - the movie this was modeled after. This is an OK remake, despite it's VERY cheesy and slow start - it picks up and is mildly entertaining.
I think it was BARELY above a PG rating -- mostly due to humor and language -- which could have easily been removed so that tweens would have flocked to it. It plays like a 'lifetime' or disney movie sans all the crazy songs and overly dramatic storylines.
60-70% - TOPS!
