Review of Soldier in the Rain (1963) by Mark H — 18 Jan 2009
While this is not particularly artistic, or even a very strong movie in terms of production values; the bittersweet comic acting from Jackie Gleason and Steve McQueen is worth the 90-minute journey. There are plenty of classic scenes, though a bit-dated by today's standards that will make you giggle shamelessly.
To me, the Mancini score takes the movie up a notch too!
