Review of Pride and Glory (2008) by Daniel P — 05 Nov 2011
The critics hammered this movie and I'm not entirely sure why. It's not the best movie ever made but its a good drama with an interesting story. Pride and Glory tells the story of a New York police family that is faced with dificult choices in the face of four police killings.
The acting by Colin Farrell leaves a lot to be desired, but everybody else does a good job. I particularly enjoyed Edward Norton. There are also a few subplot issues - I thought the wife with cancer was a bit much a little melodramatic.
But really I thought the rest of the movie was fine - I'd probably even watch it again.
