Review of Power Rangers (2017) by Bsufan101 — 24 Mar 2017

First off, I am and always will be a big fan of the original rangers. I watched Mighty Morphin Power Rangers every week as a kid and still watch episodes when I can. That being said, I went into this movie really wanting it to succeed, and at the same time not sure if it would.

I had this gut feeling they would screw something up. I can happily say, that didn't happen. I enjoyed the gritty feel to the movie, and thought it was made to get the original fans into the new direction and story, as well as get new fans into the story as well.

What I enjoyed most was the nods to the original series. It was an amazing mix of new and old. I am excited to see where this series goes from here, and it made me and my friends look back at the original series after the movie and relive the excitement as a kid.

As far as the characters, I felt it was a great switch they did, where they had this dark light over them. Over all great movie for and those new to the world as well.
