Review of Point Blank (1967) by Mike P — 09 Jul 2009
One of the undeniably great gangster-revenge pictures. Lee Marvin is... well, insert awesome bad-ass synonym here.
Sad to think the same man who directed this, Hell in the Pacific and Deliverance ended up with Zardoz. I can *almost* forgive him for that since he directed Point Blank. But whatever, this film still exists, it's amazing, go see it - it holds up BEAUTIFULLY today, as Boorman utilizes tricks from the likes of Alain Resnais in creating a perplexing but absorbing subjective point of view throughout the movie.
