Review of Pickpocket (1959) by Jess M — 02 Jul 2007
A very good drama that has scenes of high tension when we follow the pickpocket as he goes about stealing wallets from right under the victims' noses. Bresson is famous for his non-acting approach so to say that this film is badly acted is beside the point.
The, almost, documentary approach to pickpocketing creates a thriller-like atmosphere leaving you glued to the screen wanting more.
