Review of Pickpocket (1959) by Christian G — 03 Aug 2007
An amazing piece of commenting on the meaning of life. The themes deal with the thrills of an individual challenging the established order through subtle thievery. The visual style allows us to commit crimes that aren't horrendous but rather an exercise in trickery.
Bresson proves here his mastery of visual storytelling.
