Review of Pickpocket (1959) by Michael W — 31 Mar 2013
The acting is about as wooden as it gets, but somehow Bresson makes that work. Whether it's the beautiful cinematography, the contemplative pacing, or the fact that the inexperienced actors are actually directed well, the whole thing works out to be a wonderful film.
