Review of Pickpocket (1959) by Steven B — 25 Feb 2010
4/5 stars-Bresson's emphasis on minimal emotion from his actors works in making you think about the story rather than letting the characters tell you, but it causes the film to be dull and flat in spots.
This is truly a 25 minute short film stretched out to 75 minutes, but the tense moments are wonderfully done and filmed magnificently.
