Review of Phenomena (1985) by Kris P — 03 Sep 2009
Dario Argento does have some great taste in music. Phenomena, though not as good as Suspiria, did have a great score with the includance of Iron Maiden. It also includes a very young Jennifer Connelly who can interact with insects and even see through their eyes.
One scene has a beetle coming on to Connelly. I thought that was a random shot in the movie. Argento does have some great ideas for scenes, but he needed to clean up the acting here. He still remains one of my favorite directers, though.
Falling into a pool of dismembered bodies never looked so great.
