Review of Phantasm (1979) by Rick H — 29 May 2009
This movie may not be for everyone, and will openly admit this was probably the first horror movie I ever really saw and instantly fell in love with it, so it has HUGE nostalgia factor for me.
It starts off as a very creepy horror movie and slowly becomes sci-fi, and all along you really don't know exactly what is going on. It's ambiguity is it's hallmark. It remains my second favorite movie of all time. It has made several TOP 10 horror film lists over the years in mags, so I guess I'm not alone.
